1900: Appointed city attorney
Served several term on Manitowoc City Council
1907 - 1908: Served as district attorney of Manitowoc county
1929 - 1932: Appointed a member of the State Tax Commission
? - 1938: Returned to private practice of law in Madison
1941: Died at his home at 627 N. Eighth Street
